Come to the
World Congress of Families
in Amsterdam!
Dear Supporter of the Family,
I am pleased to invite you to join our Family Watch delegation at the World Congress of Families V in Amsterdam, August 10-12. This will be a life-changing, educational experience where you will hear from experts in family issues from around the world. (Click here to see the program.) Family Watch International is an official sponsor of the World Congress of Families V and will have a booth at this conference. This will be an important networking opportunity to meet people from across the world who are committed to defending and protecting marriage and the family.
Before attending my first World Congress of Families in Geneva, Switzerland in 1999, I had never been involved in a cause. That experience changed the direction of my life as I learned about the assaults in almost every area of family life and was instilled with the hope that if we all worked together, we could effectively stop many of these attacks.
And I can say now, ten years later, that much good has been accomplished as a result.
What I learned has allowed me to better protect my family, my community, and my nation from the destructive forces working to destroy marriage, life, parental rights, and religious freedom—all essential elements to successful families.
We would invite each of you to come and represent your state and country as well as apply to represent Family Watch International in Amsterdam. We need as many volunteers as possible to attend and help us network with good people from around the world.
To be a member of our Family Watch delegation you need to be able to cover your own travel, food and accommodations financially. You will also be asked to volunteer for a few hours each day of the conference.
Family Watch will be reserving a block of hotel rooms so that our delegation can be together, and we will meet for a few hours before the Congress begins for team training, to hand out assignments, and of course, to meet each other.
I hope you will consider this invitation to join Family Watch in Amsterdam and to be an official part of our delegation there. I can promise you it will be the experience of a lifetime. The pro-family advocacy training will be unsurpassed, and we are certain that after attending, you will be a more effective leader in your community and your nation in standing for the family. That is why we encourage you to come.

I look forward to meeting and getting to know you in Amsterdam!
Sincerely,

We Urgently Need Your Help!
We have never faced greater challenges to the family and family values than we do now and there is no doubt these challenges will only increase in the months ahead. Not only do we face more threats at the UN than ever before but at the national level we are fighting to defend marriage in the U.S., prevent the liberalization of abortion and dealing with other issues as well. As a result, our budget is stretched to the breaking point.
Please help in this effort to defend the family and family values by making the most generous contribution you can. Contributions are tax-deductible for U.S. taxpayers and any amount you contribute will be used effectively and efficiently. You can easily make a secure contribution on line here or print out a form to mail in a contribution.

Have We Gone MAD?
Bizarre, real-life examples that make us wonder. . . Have We Gone MAD?
Porn Again
There’s good news and bad news, folks. First, the bad news. In a stunning display of poor judgment, the University of Maryland scheduled a public screening of the most expensive XXX porn film ever made—Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge. Of course, it was considered an “educational presentation” because along with the movie, a speaker from Planned Parenthood was giving a pre-screening presentation on safe sex practices. And the good news? When state legislators caught wind of the plan to use a state building on a state campus for the public viewing of pornography, they quickly acted and threatened to pull millions of dollars in funding. Good thing money talks, because it talked loud enough for University officials to cancel the porn screening. Sort of. Students chose to show the first 30 minutes of the film and turned the event into a discussion on . . . guess what? Freedom of speech.
And for that . . . they ought to be made to walk the plank.
